ACE Call for Papers for ASSA 2025

San Francisco, CA January 3-5

The Association of Christian Economists invites members to submit scholarly papers for consideration for inclusion in the ACE sessions scheduled for the 2025 ASSA meetings. Submissions of individual papers, complete academic sessions, or panels are invited.

Deadline: Friday April 12, 2024.

Submissions should address topics of interest to Christian economists. Such topics include but are not limited to: environmental economics, health, education, financial markets, trade, public choice, inequality, development, labor, taxation, the economics of religion, and theology and economics.

  • Papers/sessions should be scholarly in nature, and should not have already appeared in print at the time of the ASSA meeting.
  • Members submitting complete sessions or panels may include participants (paper presenters, discussants, and panelists) who are not members of the Association and who respect the goals and purposes of ACE.

Submission process:

  • Email all submissions to Stephen Smith at slssmith@hope.edu.  Please put “ACE 2025 submission” in the email subject line.
  • Submissions will be evaluated by the ACE Executive Board and others selected by the Executive Board as necessary to evaluate specific proposals.

ACE Luncheon at the ASSA Meeting, (Jan. 6, 2024)

All ACE Events at the ASSA Meeting are on Saturday, January 6, 2024.

This year’s luncheon will occur between the two sessions hosted by ACE.

Please RSVP for the annual ACE fellowship luncheon by completing this survey. Your timely RSVP allows us to provide an accurate headcount which is required by the restaurant by year end. An accurate headcount allows ACE to be more prudent with resources.

Ave Maria University – Full-time faculty position

Ave Maria University seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in Economics to begin Spring or Fall 2024. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Economics and be able to teach a range of undergraduate courses in economics, including principles, intermediate, statistics, and fields, with a preference for applied microeconomics, but open to any field. Rank and salary are dependent on experience and credentials.

Westmont College – Tenure Track positions

The Department of Economics and Business at Westmont College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate rank in Economics and Business to begin in August 2023. Candidates should have a PhD in economics. A minimum of 2-3 years teaching experience is preferred.

Two positions are available: one oriented towards macroeconomics, and the other to microeconomics and data analytics.
